The Saga of cattle rustling and thievery has
begun between the Gharri and Murale.
On Monday March 31, 2008, Seven Murale owned
camels were allegedly stolen by unknown gangsters. It was said that the
local area people have traced the animal tracks toward the Banassa area
in Takaba District. So, the Murale people have finger pointed at the
Gharri people.
In
the mean while the incident was under
investigation, the Murale gang raided the Gharri owned camel ranch near
Wantee on April 03, 2008 and got away with Seven head of Camels.
So, local government authorities have put pressure on the Gharri
elders and chiefs to go and find the perpetrators, and the stolen animals.
Therefore, the Gharri elders are on their way toward Banassa, in order
to recover those animals, and bring them back to the rightful owner.
Also, the Murale’s area chiefs have been ordered to return the Gharri
owned Stolen Camels to their owners.
Also, the
disputed El Wak District election hearing has been postponed until April
18, 2008. It was said that the scheduled hearing on April 03, 2008 was
canceled due to the fact that the hearing officer or Judge was ill and
he did not show up for the hearing.
