moyale
Three more people have died in Moyale,
since October 25, 2006. Unusually heavy rain has been dumping unbearable
flood water into the Moyale area and recently dugout unfinished roads
became a river of its own and made it an easy target for flood water
washing away all the mud, and causing demolished cesspools of human waste
contaminating drinking water dams. Almost all of the victims are poor
people who could not afford to buy clean drinking water, and ended up
drinking contaminated floodwater. Therefore, floodwater and heavy rains
have created unforeseen problems for the Bulladi residents.
Gharri
District
The
Degody’s dreams of carving out Gharri’s land or North Mandera
Constituents have been crushed for now. Our brothers and sisters have
stood up and defended our land. According to information received from
Mandera, the Degody and their mercenaries have lost big time. They lost up
to 40,000,000 Kenya shillings through bribes.
Suftu
According to information received from
Mandera, Gharri District, the Degody have taken their frustration out on
the Gharri people in Suftu. They started a fight with the Gharri in suftu,
right after they learned that their dreams of curving Mandera North
constituency has failed and it was the Gharri people who stopped it. They
began fighting the Gharri people there by throwing stones and beating on
innocent people. So, the Gharri people responded fist with fists and when
it was all over, a total of 14 people were critically injured including 7
Gharri people and 7 Degody citizens.
