On July 22,
2008, Murale hoodlums ambushed Gharri herders at Sotowa Oro. They killed
one and injured two herders. It was said that the victims were following
their lost animal’s footprints when they were attacked. Subsequently, a
full-fledged war broken out at Garbi Didrki near Wargadud. However,
there’s no report of any casualties or injuries available at this time.
According to an
eyewitness account, rather than sending them a helping hand and
protecting innocent women, and children from heavily armed Murale gangs,
the Kenyan authorities arrested three Gharri chiefs in order to curtail
the Gharri’s ability to defend themselves. The arrested chiefs are Chief
Isaaq Hassan Kulmiya, Chief Abdo Hassan Suraw, and Chief Abdulahi Hassan
Adaw.
Its preposterous to
arrest victims and the arresting of the above mentioned chiefs is a
clear indicative of the Kenyan authorities involvement in providing the
Murale thugs with both logistics and training under the premises of “AP”
and supplying them with ammunitions that were eventually used in killing
the Gharri herders and their animals. So, what is next?
So, we will let you know as soon
as the information becomes available to us.
