Gharri Warriors have defended their motherland successfully once again. The enemy militias have been crushed. The latest information received from EL Gof indicates that Five enemy militias were killed and the rest escaped in disarray,

The allied forces of Oromo Liberation Front rebels and O. P. D. O's militias declared an all out war against the Gharri people to invade and annex the Western Gharri Region. They began fighting  on February 04, 2009. But, their dreams of land grabbing was short lived and failed miserably. Their dream joint militias were defeated at all front line locations starting from Huddett, Amiko in Wallen, Boji Kalaf, and El Gof. After 3 days of ferocious fighting, they left behind the dead bodies of their colleagues at Huddatt and El Gof town. On February 06, 2009, They ambushed a passenger truck carrying unarmed civilians, killing seven passengers and wounding four, before, they were chased out by small but, determined Gharri warriors.
