We the Gharri people are disappointed and
shocked to find out that before the bloods of
our five young men wears off from a Rhamo street
corner, before the carcasses of Mr. Khalif’s
camels even decomposes at Did Kuro, before,
they bury the dead, treat the injured, and
deliver eulogy to the victims’ families, while
the mother of 4 children Ms. Alima Isaaq Abdi
Jiraw and her infant child had been slaughtered
and her other 3 infants’ bodies were shattered
with bullets;
the Gharri elected officials and elders are
meeting at Kutulo with the same Degodia elders
and politicians behind these killings,
delivering a million shillings of blood money
for a known the Degodia Al Shebab operative that
was killed in the battle near Malka Mari, in
Ethiopia and a letter of apology for the 3
others who were killed in the battle of Fincharo.
This is appalling and beyond belief that the
people that we elected to represent us are
giving rewards to the butchers of our people.
This is outrageous and we are extremely
horrified by this dreadful deeds.
They are spineless cowards who are afraid of
their own shadows. They not only failed to
protect and defend the rights of their people,
but are also actively handicapping their efforts
to defend themselves. The arresting of Bumayo
and Fincharo chiefs on May 15, 2014 is evidence
of that. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Those Elders who participated in the delivery of
1,000,000 shillings and a letter of apology to
the butchers of our people must be removed
immediately. The Governor and the 2 Senators, 4
MPs, and 18 County Assemblymen who participated
in this sham must be recalled. While most of
these people are going around and defending the
rights of the Somali people, their own citizens
are been killed and dismembered weekly. Enough
is enough. Let our people be free to defend
themselves without relying on these gutless
cowards.
