Sunday April 08, 2012, the Honorable Bishar Ugas
Ibrahim and his guest made a short visit to
Clarkston, GA. He was welcomed by the Gharri
community of Atlanta, GA and the City of
Clarkston Mayor Mr. Emanuel Ransom was present
at the meeting. The mayor was very pleased to
meeting the Gharri community members and their
guests. He welcomed him to the City of
Clarkston, GA as a distinguished guest of honor
and gave him a key to the city.
Hon.
Ibrahim is a member of the Somali Transitional
government Parliament representing El Wak (Boru
Hache). He provided a lengthy but very valuable
update from the Eastern Gharri region aka “Garre
Konfur”. According to meeting participant’s
statements, Honorable Ibrahim was very
knowledgeable and gave a very analytical
breakdown of the current situation in Somalia.
The
meeting was described as follows, “Honorable
Bishar Ugas Ibrahim’s visit to Atlanta GA was an
excellent opportunity both for the Diaspora as
well as for Hon. Bishar. The members of the
community were
very
appreciative of the visit and were convinced
that the information shared during the town hall
meeting was very beneficial.”
