PM Hailemariam appoints members of the Council of Ministers
Addis Ababa, 06 October, 2015(WIC) - Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has appointed members of the Council of Ministers at the first session of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) and 4 executives with Ministerial portfolio.
Speaking before submitting the appointees to the House, Prime Minister Hailemariam said they are selected for the appointment based on their past performance, educational background and political commitment. Name and position of appointment of the members of the Council of Ministers is listed below:
1. Demeke Mekonnen: Deputy PM and Social Sector Cluster Coordinator
2. Debretsion G. Michael (PhD): economic Sector cluster coordinator with Deputy PM portfolio and Minister of Communications & Information Technology.
3. Aster Mamo: good governance cluster coordinator with Deputy PM portfolio and Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development .
4. Siraj Fergessa: Minister of Defense
5. Tedros Adhanom (PhD): Minister of Foreign Affairs
