It has been
reported that there are very high tensions in Moyale, between the Oromo and
indigenous Somali people.
According

road blocks and robbing all non-Oromo people of Moyale for a while now. So
far, over 5 Somali people have lost their motorcycles to the Oromo
gangs/robbers.
On November

they caused any damage to Somali owned properties. A fist fight ensued
thereafter and in the process 3 Somali youths were seriously injured from
gunshots. The gunshots are believed to have been shot by Oromos within the
Ethiopian armed forces.
