Kunaye, the fugitive has been seen in Nairobi, Kenya. According to an eyewitness accounts, Kunaye is on the run hopping from house to house running from the authorities. Last night he allegedly spent the night in Nakuru at a tribesman’s house.  Therefore, the Kenyan authorities have been notified to apprehend him and hand him over to Ethiopian authorities.

This man is a criminal and he ran away with millions of birrs from Kilil5, Liban Zone in particular. He escaped instead of facing his own music and taking responsibility as a man should, rather, he abandoned his own wife and run out of country. Now, his wife is taking all the heat and is in jail. So, what kind of a man is he?

Why is Kunaye on the run? Because, he falsely accused the entire Gharri people of being anti peace elements, and anti Ethiopian and Kenyan Governments in an attempt to create animosity between the Gharri, the Ethiopian and Kenyan governments. But he could not back up his claims. Furthermore, he embezzled millions of dollars, depleting the region's resources, that were allocated to carry out various developmental projects in Liban Zone, Kilil5. So, he has no answer to what has happened to the money, and he cannot show any single project that has been completed in his tenure.

He has created a mafia like administration that was licensed to rob their own fellow citizens for over ten years. But he could not face it or claim responsibility for his actions. After all of his 49 field officers testified against him and confessed to the crimes that they were charged with, the Kilil5 congressional committee dismissed 25 of them on the spots. They confirmed that he was the one who authorized them to torture and detain the Gharri citizens by creating false witnesses and intimidating or terrorizing the people and then charging them to pay detention fees. People like Mr. Komba Jatani are classic examples of people who were charged and sentenced for a year without ever being brought to a court of law.

Therefore, the preponderances of evidences brought before, the kilil5’s congressional committee shows Mr. Kunaye was in deed guilty of all of the charges he was accused of committing against his own constituents. So, Ladies and Gentlemen, it is incumbent up on all of us to be vigilant and expose this criminal to the concerned authorities.
