Tensions are very High between the Gabra and Borana Communities, after area clan mobs blocked the Moyale -Marsabit road. By Gur Ghadrri Saturday, November 30th 2013

Moyale –Marsabit transportation has been crippled. The Trouble started after the Gabra mobs blocked the only road connecting Moyale and Marsabit at Torbi and held over 600 passengers hostage. Also, a Borana Mob along with tribal militias retaliated and captured two Gabra owned trucks carrying unspecified amounts of Gharri owned merchandize, were looted and the trucks were both burned down.

However, hostages were freed by security personnel, but, the Moyale Marsabit road still remains closed.
