Huddet Water Supply Project: the river
intake work is ongoing and so far they have
excavated and started the construction of 3
big infiltration galleries.
They have delivered over 300 trucks of
stones and sand. They were ready to start
the excavation of the trench from Dawa river
to Huddet town (17 km). around 100 people
got employment there per day.
Huddet - Chilaqo road: the construction of the
road is in good shape and also making
progress:They have established a very big camp
in Hudet
Bush clearing has been done for almost 30 km from Huddet
to Amiko and they have also graded the road; covered
with gravel and compacted it very well. For those 30 km
it's just like asphalt road and it's very nice. I was so
excited when i drove there last time.
Now they have suspended it for a
little while and may be due to cutbacks of the project's
funding.
