On Thursday August 07, 2014 at
about 6:30 PM local time, Bannissa town guard intercepted a large number
of the Degodia militias from Ethiopian before they could reach Bannissa
at Lulisa road.
According information received, the local guard received some tips from
unnamed sources about the Degodia militia’s planned Bannissa attack and
were waiting for them to come. They were able to fend off the criminals
before they reached Bannissa town, killing one and injuring four others
before the rest fled towards Oddo. Now, the local authorities are in
pursuit of the attackers.
