The
Killil5 Assistant Speaker of the House, Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Bede, has
been stripped of his asst. speakership. Furthermore, the head of the
Bureau of Public Work and the president's right hand man, Mr. Elias, has
been stripped of his position.
The Minister of Sports, Mr. Suraw, and
the Assistant Minister of the Peace Corp, Mr. Abdidhub, have been
discharged. The former head of Moyale District militia, Mr. Ali Edin,
has been arrested. Also, 6 districts administrators in Jigjiga area have
been fired, and some of them have also been arrested. The reasons for
the arrests and dismissals are unknown at this time.
Radio communication devices in the
Huddat District have been confiscated. The reason why radio equipment
is being confiscated has not been given. We will inform you as soon as
new information becomes available.
